At Lowell Community Health Center, we are a proud family of nearly 400 team members, united by a common mission to provide equitable access to high quality, affordable health care for people of all ages — regardless of their ability to pay.
We value and appreciate every member of our team as integral to our mission to deliver exceptional care that improves the health of the patients we serve through prevention, treatment, and education. Our diverse and talented team members speak 28 different languages, and at least 40 staff are trained medical interpreters.
Our beautifully renovated location in a historic, renovated mill building at 161 Jackson St. in downtown Lowell is home to our comprehensive primary and pediatric care services, in addition the Metta Center, Dental Care Center, Eye Care Center, Behavioral Health Services, Pharmacy, and more.
Lowell CHC services reach far beyond the exam room. We offer school-based health centers, Teen BLOCK youth programs, and outreach and health education in the community. We understand that we have a duty to care for our entire community, not just our patients. The health center is deeply rooted in our community, as a trusted leader, collaborator, and committed advocate for health equity and justice.
In 2020 Lowell Community Health Center celebrated our 50th Anniversary of serving the communities of Greater Lowell.
In support of our mission and the values of equity and inclusion on which the Health Center was founded more than 50 years ago, our Board of Directors unanimously passed a resolution on June 17, 2020, declaring racism as a public health crisis.
